BIOGRAPHY FOR
Henry L Knox, Jr.

Pastor Henry L. Knox, Jr., is the Pastor and Founder of Grace & Mercy Outreach Ministries Church of God In Christ (COGIC), established January 2014. He was born to Henry Lee Knox, Sr. and Mrs. Beatrice E. Gary the eldest of four siblings from Pawley's Island, South Carolina, He initially started preaching at approximately ten years old to his cousins by the ditch near his Aunt Sarah and Uncle Edward's home. Pastor Knox attended Holy Cross Memorial Episcopal Church where his mother and Grandmother attended. On May 24 1986, he married Juanzetta McCarrell of Wichita, Kansas and they were blessed with five beautiful daughters.

 After graduating from Howard High School in 1981; he enlisted in the Army, serving honorably and faithfully retiring as a Sergeants Major (SGM/CSM E-9) with over 32 years of military service. He has received numerous accolades, military awards, schooling, training, and currently has over 120 semester hours with Saint Leo University.

In March 1988 after getting into trouble during Operation Team Spirit field exercise and deployment in Korea, Pastor Knox rededicated his Life to the Lord. Pastor Knox attended and worshipped at Holy Ghost Corner COGIC in Schofield Barracks Hawaii from April 1988 to January 1989, where he had one of his most memorable moments to work with Dr. Mattie Moses Clark and the Clark Sisters during a Choir project during their concert tour for the Installation. He continued his spiritual growth by getting ordained and appointed as a Deacon under Pastor Andrew Calhoun, Freedom of Praise COGIC Hinesville, Georgia in 1990. In November 1994, the Lord called Pastor Knox into the ministry and after conviction from the Holy Spirit, he heeded the call and informed his Pastor, Pastor Leroy Jones Pastor of House of Prayer COGIC, El Paso, Texas. Pastor Knox was licensed as a minister in May 1997 under (Late) Bishop Felton King through Pastor Leroy Jones in El Paso, Texas.

 He was ordained as an Elder in July 1998 under (Late) Bishop A. Ladell Thomas, Sr. in Waco, Texas, his Pastor of Zion Temple COGIC. He was selected by the Task Force Chaplain, (Captain) Randy Robison to pastor the Gospel Service in Kuwait from July 99 to December 99 for Operation Intrinsic Action 99-03 for the United States Army. He served as Bishop A. Ladell Thomas, Sr. Adjutant from 1999 to 2001. He served as Youth Pastor and Adjutant at Holy Light COGIC in El Paso, Texas under Bishop Juan O. Lawson from 2001 to September 2005. He served as Assistant Youth Pastor / Church Administrator/ Administrative Assistant at Saint Paul COGIC under Pastor James F. Carter from October 2005 to February 2014. He is currently serving as the Chief Adjutant to Bishop Benjamin Collins from 2005 to present in the Southeast Georgia Jurisdiction. Pastor Knox was selected and appointed as a National Overseer for COGIC Worldwide in November 2015. Pastor Knox has been selected and appointed as a Chaplain for the Kirk Healing Homeless shelter in Hinesville Georgia in June 2016-2017; in April 2017 to present, Pastor Knox serves on the Liberty County Reentry Program Board of Directors as assistant Chaplain.
